Types of Lessons
Lessons during the school year run in eight week sessions. Each weekly, two hour group lesson is $52.50+GST, so the total for the session is $441. Group classes are limited to a maximum of six riders. The first and last half hour of group lessons is learning to prepare and care for the horse and the middle hour is riding.
Half hour private lessons are $72.50+GST which is $609 for the session, and half hour semi-private lessons are $62.50+GST ($525 for the session). These lessons are only available for riders who can prepare their own horses without supervision, with the exception of therapy-focussed classes.
Cancellation Policy
If an emergency comes up and you are unable to attend a lesson, a makeup class is a possibility, but only if there is room in another lesson time during that same session. 48 hour notice and a good reason is required to be eligible for a makeup. If you have something planned on a lesson day before you register and you let me know before you register, I may provide a makeup class if there is room in another lesson time in that same session.
Required Equipment
All lesson students must provide their own riding helmet. There are some to borrow if you forget your helmet at home. Riding boots/cowboy boots are preferred but any shoe with a heel about 1 cm tall will do. Most water boots and some hikers are suitable.
