Types of Lessons
Lessons from September-June run in eight week sessions.
Each weekly, two-hour group lesson is $55.00+GST, so the total for the session is $462. Group classes are limited to a maximum of six riders. The first and last half hour of group lessons is learning to prepare and care for the horse and the middle hour is riding.
Half hour private lessons are $75+GST which is $630 for the session, and half hour semi-private lessons are $65+GST ($546 for the session). These lessons are only available for riders who can prepare their own horses without supervision, with the exception of therapy-focused classes.
For students who register for Sessions 1-5, and pay on time, a $100 discount will be applied to their Session 5 invoice. In this way, lessons will remain the same cost as last year for anyone participating in all 5 sessions.
Cancellation Policy
If an emergency comes up and you are unable to attend a lesson, a makeup class is a possibility, but only if there is room in another lesson time during that same session. In absence of an emergency, 48 hour (two day) notice and a good reason is required to be eligible for a makeup. If you have something planned on a lesson day before you register and you let me know before you register, I may provide a makeup class at my discretion if there is room in another lesson time in that same session.
If you must cancel an entire session, two months’ notice is required so I am able to fill your spot. This is a courtesy, as billing is done one month prior to session start so there is no held deposit for not giving the notice. However, you greatly assist this small business when you give as much notice as possible!
Required Equipment
All lesson students must provide their own riding helmet. There are some to borrow if you forget your helmet at home. Riding boots/cowboy boots are preferred but any shoe with a heel at least 1 cm tall will do. Most water boots and some hikers are suitable.
How to Register
Use the form below to request a lesson time that works for you. You can select multiple times if your schedule is flexible, this makes it easier for me to get everyone into a lesson who wants to ride!
Once I receive your registration I will follow up to confirm there is room and give you the forms. Completed waiver forms (for new students) and half payment upon receipt of invoice are required to finish your registration.
